Coventry City Football

Coventry City Football Club have a new home at the Ricoh Arena.

We were appointed to demolish the old ‘Highfield Road’ stadium to make way for a new residential development in the heart of Coventry City Centre.

A large percentage of our extensive plant fleet was deployed to undertake the work, specifically 2 ultra high reach demolition specification machines and 8 excavators, dump trucks and other support plant.

Over 30,000 tonnes of reinforced concrete from the seating areas and the foundations was processed on-site, by us, some of which was re-incorporated in the future George Wimpey development.

Existing top soil (the pitch!) did not go to waste. This was utilised in the gardens of the new properties.

Over 2,500 tonnes of steel was taken down and re-cycled.
