The Project:

This contract involved demolishing a disused outdoor swimming pool in Sutton Park and then returning the site to its original, undeveloped state. The demolition and reinstatement work required particular sensitivity form the contractor towards both the users of the park and the surrounding environment.

Judges’ Comments:

The contractor showed great care and sympathy to the park’s unique environment in carrying out this project. The contractor was also extremely helpful in contouring the finished site to create an area suitable for wildlife.

It was the added value that Coleman & Company brought to the scheme – as well as completing the job within budget and on schedule – that made this scheme stand out from the rest.
